Underwood Baptist Free Community Church

A ministry for young mums who live in Underwood and the surrounding area. The aim is to bring mums together in the community, giving them a kid free couple of hours to spend in the company of other young mums in a relaxed atmosphere.  Divine was launched in 2011 and holds a couple of events a year, a typical event comprises a light brunch with tea and coffee, the ladies also have a small gift to take away, there is usually a speaker or singer and background music to set the scene.  The events are free, all we ask is that you come along and enjoy yourselves!

 

While mums are having some ‘me’ time the children are looked after in the Oasis Community Centre situated opposite the church. It is run by ladies from the church who are DBS checked. There are plenty of games and toys to keep the kids amused, a light lunch is also provided and a good time is had by all!  In the church itself there is a Crèche: again the ladies are all DBR checked and the little ones are well catered for in a safe environment.
